Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing Diamond D, Fat Joe, and Buckwild, and of course I’m a huuuge D.I.T.C. fan, so it was great to see how this piece brought the story of the whole crew together, album by album. Love the approach, props to the author Mike “DJ” Pizzo, and salute to all the legendary D.I.T.C. members.

Check out the oral history below, and grab their new album HERE.

My City

Music

D.I.T.C. continues to drop new music this week with a fresh banger by O.C. titled “My City.” This shit is hard, and it features the same Menahan Street Band sample I used on “The Working Man Is A Sucker.” Great to hear O.C. doing what he does best, dude has always been one of my favorite MCs. Knock this.

Still Diggin’

Been hearing and seeing a lot about D.I.T.C. coming back together, and now finally they give us a taste of what we can expect in 2016 from the Bronx-based legends. Listen to their new song “Make ‘Em So Proud (Hold Up)” above, featuring A.G., Fat Joe, and Diamond D. The soulful, boom-bap beat is perfect for winter whipping through NYC—lean back to this.
