Dude Perfect is a group of college friends from Texas who specialize in making trick basketball shots. One of the kids I work with came in tonight going nuts over their videos, so I checked them out. And they’re unbelievable. I mean, these guys make some incredibly long, crazy, silly basketball shots. They launch balls from anywhere, facing opposite directions, on rollerblades, with the basket literally in the back of a pick up truck driving away, from the top of houses, over houses, off waterslides, you name it. And they make it in! I LOL’d more than a few times watching these videos. I love their reactions. Sometimes they’re genuinely excited, jumping up and down in disbelief that the ball went in the hoop, and other times they just look at the camera as if to say “it’s nothing”. Their most popular video has over three million Youtube views, and they’ve been featured on every major website’s frontpage from ESPN to Yahoo. They were just on 60 Minutes too, discussing their recent endorsement deals that are in the works. And to think it all started from making bets in the backyard. Awesome.
