40 years ago today, on March 15, 1972, the epic Mafia movie The Godfather was released. I think I saw it for the first time in when I was in my late teens, and I remember a period during my sophomore year of college where I was completely obsessed with both The Godfather and The Godfather Part II. I love Goodfellas, and Carlito’s Way, but The Godfather trilogy (minus Part III lol) is where it’s at.
