Terrible news about Mac Miller. One of the dopest artists of the new hip-hop generation, with infinite talent not only as an MC but as a songwriter, producer, musician and more. So sad.

I’ve been playing Mac’s music pretty much nonstop since the news of his passing broke on Friday afternoon, including his latest album Swimming which is really remarkable and the playlist below of Soundcloud favorites. I also re-watched his NPR Tiny Desk concert a few times. RIP Mac, we’re going to celebrate your life by playing your music forever.

I Shazam’d this ’90s jazz cut by Ronny Jordan while I was walking at Ridge Hill the other day with my family. It was playing on their outdoor speakers, and I heard the beat and riff like, “Hold up, let me Shazam this shit real quick.” Made my family stop outside Smoothie King while I held my phone up to a bush hahaha. It was worth it though, this track is sick. Might have to sample it.

The End Of The Tour

Watched this movie on Netflix a few days ago—really great performances by Jason Segal and Jesse Eisenberg. It’s the true story of Rolling Stone writer David Lipsky’s road trip with the late author David Foster Wallace as he wraps up the tour for his famous book Infinite Jest. Check it out if you missed it.
