I Shazam’d this ’90s jazz cut by Ronny Jordan while I was walking at Ridge Hill the other day with my family. It was playing on their outdoor speakers, and I heard the beat and riff like, “Hold up, let me Shazam this shit real quick.” Made my family stop outside Smoothie King while I held my phone up to a bush hahaha. It was worth it though, this track is sick. Might have to sample it.
Watched this movie on Netflix a few days ago—really great performances by Jason Segal and Jesse Eisenberg. It’s the true story of Rolling Stone writer David Lipsky’s road trip with the late author David Foster Wallace as he wraps up the tour for his famous book Infinite Jest. This new Netflix hip-hop comedy gets the Westcheddar seal of approval, and not just because it takes place in Westchester County. It’s a very fun story of a young rapper (played by Kyle) and his manager’s pursuit of a record deal—and it’s loaded with cameos. Watch the trailer above.
