New Dirty Jax “I Does This” shirt, finally dropping for the summer. Inspired by this. Stay tuned to their website for more info, or follow my dude Josh on Twitter. Cheah!
Kroll vs. Diddy
My DudesWestcheddar funny man Nick Kroll goes one on one with Diddy. Amazing. Hey Nick, love the mohawk bud! From the upcoming Judd Apatow movie Get Him To The Greek. Looks like it’s gonna be a fun flick. Can’t wait to see it.
Brothers
UncategorizedThe Black Keys new album Brothers came out today, and it’s really dope. I thoroughly enjoyed my first listen to it. They have a great sound. Here’s a video off the album for the song “Next Girl”, which is my shit, and features a singing dinosaur in it…
Lots of other hot cuts on Brothers, so cop that album!
Pair Of Pics
UncategorizedJust a couple pictures I want to share this morning. Above is a shot of Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam) and Ben Bridwell (Band Of Horses) on stage performing “All Along The Watchtower” together. Band of Horses is currently on tour opening up for Pearl Jam, and it sounds like they’ve been bringing Bridwell out during their set pretty regularly. And below is a picture taken in Alabama, tweeted out by the man himself.
Matisyahu will be at Jones Beach this summer, and PJ x BOH are at MSG this Friday. Cheah.
Dirt Nasty Parody
UncategorizedDirt Nasty aka Simon Rex is a funny dude. Him and his boy Andre Legacy love to just film themselves freestyling back and forth. They have a hilarious flow, and say absurd shit. Dirt Nasty’s been known to also go solo and film himself freestyling in the oddest of places, like on a horse ranch in Kauai or in a Port-O-Potty. Well, some kids decided to do a parody of their videos, and it’s amazing. Check the latest Dirt Nasty x Andre Legacy freestyle above, and below the parody video. Funny!
More Dirt Nasty freestyle videos HERE. And if you missed our Up North Trips interview with him, check out all the parts HERE. Toodles.
Football With Attitude
My Dudes, SportsMy cousin CI at No Mas NYC collaborated with Ice Cube on his 30 for 30 ESPN Documentary Straight Outta LA, adding on with some fresh animated segments courtesy of James Blagden (same artist from “Dock Ellis and the LSD No-No”).
It airs tonight on ESPN. Don’t miss it. More info HERE. Here’s a quote from my cuz, and also peep the CNN clip below…
“Straight Outta LA” gets into that sweet spot of sports and culture: NWA, The LA Raiders, gangster rap and actual gangs, starter jackets, corduroy hats, Lester Hayes, Rod Martin, Marcus Allen, The LA riots, and the madman/genius Left Coast Steinbrenner of football–Al Davis. This is the most interesting pro football can get.

Finally, take a look at the new LA Raiders x Starter x No Mas NYC Finisher Bag…
Ta-dow.

They touch on all the benefits, from the history to the supporting cast of players to the housing options to the nightlife to the celebrity fans to the, well, everything. Hey Lebron, there’s a ton of reasons why you should come play for the Knicks! Lots of perks! Smarten up! Let’s make it happen!
NEW YORK MAGAZINE HEY LEBRON, WELCOME TO NEW YORK
*In other sports news, big shout out to Dallas Braden of the Oakland A’s for pitching a perfect game yesterday. Only the 19th in history. I’m a New York dude, but I was born in Oakland and will always have mad love for the A’s. More HERE. Hollerrrr.
Horse Heat
UncategorizedI got my hands on an advanced copy of Band Of Horses new album Infinite Arms last week, and I’m not lying when I tell you it’s all I’ve listened to since. There are four, count ’em, four songs on there that I am absolutely in love with. And nowadays, if someone can just release ONE song I really like I’m impressed. Not gonna get into a whole review or anything, but when this shit drops next Tuesday, cop it. If you like the slow, melancholy stuff like I do, you’ll get your fix. And if you favor the more upbeat, rock and roll electric guitar jams, well they’re serving that up too. It’s a nice southern stew of an album. Here’s a live video of them performing the title cut, which is absolutely and positively my new favorite song. This clip is nice, don’t get me wrong, but when you hear it on the album, you’ll understand why I’m so in love with it. Enjoy a front row seat, live from Brussels…
For all the rest of your Band Of Horses needs, check out Ode to BOH. It’s a top notch Band of Horses fan site! And go see them on tour with Pearl Jam!
*Update*
You can stream the whole Infinite Arms album on their website now! DO IT. Also, I contributed to the Ode To BOH fan blog. Read my post HERE.
Seinfeld Sync
YouthKids are so funny sometimes. I think I take for granted that my job allows me to hang out with kids all day and just listen and watch them say and do the most hilarious (and impressive) things. Please watch the video above of two brothers lip syncing a Jerry Seinfeld stand up comedy routine about Halloween. It’s a treat. Spotted it recently at Vashtie’s blog, who coincidentally is a music video director (among other things) responsible for THIS Kanye x Pharrell x Lupe video that I posted a while back. Cheah.
Return Of The Champ
UncategorizedJadakiss is back with a new mixtape, The Champ Is Here Part 3. Definitely worth the download if you’re a Kiss fan. Personally, I like when he rocks over the older beats, like Biggie’s “Who Shot Ya” and Jay-Z’s “Somehow, Someway”, and Green Lantern’s “Slow Down” blend is probably the highlight of the whole tape. Still, nothing will ever be able to touch The Champ Is Here Part 1. But it’s nice to see Jadakiss consistently coming out with new material. Back cover and download link below…
DOWNLOAD JADAKISS x GREEN LANTERN x DJ DRAMA THE CHAMP IS HERE PART 3
And just to bring it back, here’s a Smack DVD video clip of one of the hottest tracks from The Champ Is Here Part 1. 914 stand up!
