The always entertaining DJ Whoo Kid sits down with the ItsTheReal brothers for an extended interview filled with classic hip-hop stories and shenanigans. Listen above, and below, check out the video of Whoo Kid on Howard Stern’s morning show from a few years back (which is referenced in the interview)—it’s completely out of control.
Staten Island rapper Lou The Human posted a snippet of this song on his Instagram page a while back, and now here it is in full. This kid is cool—looking forward to hearing his next body of work.
I’m dumb late but this song is fresh. Been hearing about Jay Critch for a while, and now I get the hype. Dope beat, and he floats on it. Pardon my tardiness.
I unfortunately couldn’t make it out to see Roc Marciano’s show at the Highline Ballroom on Thursday night (Rap Dad duty called), but I had a feeling it was gonna be one of those nights you don’t want to miss. Turns out I was right. See footage above of Busta Rhymes’ guest appearance on stage, where he gave one of the biggest public displays of respect I’ve ever seen in hip-hop—calling Roc one of his Top 5 MCs and explaining for close to four minutes why he’s truly a Rap God. Shouts to my boy Eric Diep for the footage.
And below, see flicks from the show courtesy of Photo Rob, featuring Meyhem Lauren, DJ Muggs, Dallas Penn, Premium Pete, Westside Gunn, Action Bronson, Big Body Bes, Knowledge The Pirate, V Don, Lil Eto, Smoke DZA and Jazz.
Yo Jazz, what is that sweatshirt you’re wearing?!? Salute to Roc Marciano and everyone who was involved in this historic night—this crop of talent represents hip-hop’s finest.
